Hyatt is out with another buy points offer and this time they are back to a discount instead of a bonus. When you buy 5,000 or more points in one transaction they will give a 25% discount on the price. In the past we have seen 30 to 40% bonuses and even discounts at 30% so this offer falls in-between.
With the discount the price works out to 1.95 cents (US) per point which is an OK but not great price to be buying them at. Depending on how you redeem them (over 2 cents per point) it could be worthwhile to purchase them for rewards around the globe or even if you just need a few thousand points to top off for an award.
