Air Canada Aeroplan’s latest buy points promotion provides members with the opportunity to receive up to a 100% bonus when buying points by February 16, 2026. The bonus varies by member (Starts at 80%) and will be revealed when you login
The up to 100% bonus offer:

Buy 5,000 – 19,000 points = 50% bonus
Buy 30,000 – 79,000 points = 75% bonus
Buy 80,000+ points = 100% bonus
Does it make sense to buy points?
When you buy points with a a 100% bonus your cost on each point is 1.88 cents (C$) each before taxes (1.95-2.20 cents with taxes, depending on which province you live in in Canada). There are no taxes for purchases made from outside of Canada.
We value Aeroplan points at a minimum of C$ 1.5 cents each but the program does provide the ability to get much more than that. If you find the right award flights at the right time you can easily redeem points with values well over 2 or 3 cents per point.
If you get the 100% bonus for buying Air Canada Aeroplan points this is better than the last buy points offers (30% discount) but shy of some bigger (but quite rare) bonuses we have seen previously.
If you have an immediate redemption to use these points on where you will get more than C$ 2.20 cents per point in value then by all means buy the points to give yourself a discount on you travels otherwise wait until the next promotion.
