Air Canada Aeroplan’s latest buy points promotion provides members with the opportunity to receive up to a 100% bonus when buying points by December 17, 2025. It state it is a mystery bonus so please let us know if you receive a different offer!
The up to 100% bonus offer:
Receive up to a 100% bonus when you buy 5,000 or more Aeroplan points. Offer valid to Dec 17, 25. Click here to buy points.
- Between 5,000 and 25,000 Aeroplan points will earn 55% bonus points
- Between 30,000 and 70,000 Aeroplan points will earn 75% bonus points
- 80,000 or more Aeroplan points will earn 100% bonus points.
Does it make sense to buy points?
When you buy points at the 100% bonus tier, your cost on each point is 1.875 cents (C$) each before taxes which puts the actual cost at 1.97 cents per point to 2.16 cents per point depending on which province you live in. If you live outside of Canada you don’t have to worry about the taxes and will only pay the 1.875 cents.
We value Aeroplan points at 1.5 cents (C$) each but the program does provide the ability to get more than that. If you find the right award flights at the right time and are able to redeem at 2 to 2.25 cents per point or more it can make sense to buy them. (2.25 cents is based on those paying 15% HST! in several Canadian provinces, if you pay less or no taxes you can drop that benchmark amount)

Wrapping it up
The up to 100% bonus for buying Air Canada Aeroplan points is definitely one of the better offers from the airline! As with any buy miles and points promotion I would only buy them if you do find a flight with a redemption value of 2 to 2.25 cents per point or more!
