Air Canada Aeroplan’s latest buy points promotion provides members with the opportunity to receive up to a 90% bonus when buying points by October 29, 2025. I’m not sure if this time it is a mystery bonus like the last few offers – do please let me know in the comments if you receive a different offer!
The up to 90% bonus offer:
Receive up to a 90% bonus when you buy 4,000 or more Aeroplan points. Offer valid to October 29, 25. Click here to buy points.
- Receive a 40% bonus on purchases of 4,000 to 15,000 Aeroplan points
- Receive a 60% bonus on purchases of 20,000 to 60,000 Aeroplan points
- Receive a 90% bonus on purchases of 70,000 or more Aeroplan points
Does it make sense to buy points?
When you buy points with a 90% bonus your cost on each point is 1.97 cents (C$) each before taxes which puts the actual cost at 2.07 cents per point or higher depending on which province you live in.
We value Aeroplan points at a minimum of 1.5 cents each but the program does provide the ability to get more than that. If you find the right award flights at the right time and are able to redeem at 2.3 cents per point or more it can make sense to buy them. (2.3 is based on those Canadians paying 15% HST!, if you pay less taxes you can drop that CPP amount)

Wrapping it up
The up to 90% bonus for buying Air Canada Aeroplan points is one of the better offers for buying Aeroplan points and can definitely be utilized to save some cash on flights. As with any buy miles and points promotion I would only buy them if you do find a flight with a redemption value of 2.25 cents per points or more – otherwise wait until the next promotion as there’s a good chance that during Black Friday we may see the return of a 100% or even higher bonus.
