Air Canada Aeroplan’s latest buy points promotion provides members with the opportunity to receive up to a 30% discount when buying points by October 14, 2025. I’m not sure if this time it is a mystery bonus like the last few offers – please let me know in the comments if you receive a different offer!
The up to 30% discount offer:
Receive up to a 30% discount when you buy 3,000 or more Aeroplan points. Offer valid to October 4, 25. Click here to buy points.
- Receive a 15% discount on purchases of 3,000 to 14,000 Aeroplan points
- Receive a 20% discount on purchases of 15,000 to 29,000 Aeroplan points
- Receive a 25% discount on purchases of 30,000 to 35,000 Aeroplan points
- Receive a 30% discount on purchases of 40,000 or more Aeroplan points
Does it make sense to buy points?
When you buy points with a 30% discount your cost on each point is 2.65 cents (C$) each before taxes which puts the actual cost at 2.76 cents per point or higher depending on which province you live in.
We value Aeroplan points at a minimum of 1.5 cents each (C$) but the program does provide the ability to get more than that. If you find the right award flights at the right time and are able to redeem at 3 cents per point (C$) or more it can make sense to buy them.
