Value in the miles alone
If we look at the 300,000 miles alone and don’t take into account the other benefits, you are buying the miles at 1.65 EUR cents each (~1.74 US Cents each). This matches the best per mile price to date that we have seen with this membership option. Seeing that you can get 300,000 miles in one shot and begin redeeming right away this can be a very lucrative deal for business or first class flights.
With Miles & More’s move to dynamic award flight pricing for flights of Lufthansa, Austrian and SWISS the best way to combat the changes without actually ditching the program is to earn as many miles as possible and getting one of these memberships is one way to achieve that.
