Virgin Australia are offering 2x Velocity points on all flights systemwide but the only way to earn those points is to register for the offer in the Velocity app. You cannot register for it anywhere else – desktop, or accessing the Velocity Rewards website on a mobile browser. Just in the app plain and simple.

This offer is valid for new bookings made between August 20 and 27 for travel until June 30, 2026.

To be eligible for the 2x Points App Only promotion you must (1) have activated this offer via the Velocity app; (2) book an Eligible Flight between 12.01am AEST 27 August 2025 and 11.59pm AEST 27 August 2025 (Promotion Period) and enter a valid Velocity membership number at the time of booking; and (3) complete travel on the Eligible Flight booked during the Promotion Period by 30 June 2026. An Eligible Flight is any Domestic, Trans-Tasman or International Short Haul Virgin Australia marketed and operated flight for travel between 20 August 2025 and 30 June 2026 (inclusive) that normally earns Velocity Points. The promotion is for new Eligible Flights booked and ticketed during the Promotion Period, and changes to existing bookings made prior to the Promotion Period are not eligible. Points cannot be earned on Velocity Reward Seat bookings. Codeshare services marketed or operated by partner airlines are not eligible for this offer. Bonus Points will be earned in addition to base Points earned. Bonus Points will be applied to the originally purchased fare class and any upgrades (other than when you paid the full commercial fare) will not attract bonus Points as a result of this offer. There is no limit on the amount of times this offer can be redeemed.
