Air Canada Aeroplan’s latest buy points promotion provides members with the opportunity to receive up to a 30% discount when buying points by July 3, 2025.
The up to 30% discount offer:

- Buy 10,000 – 19,000 points receive a 15% discount
- Buy 20,000 – 75,000 points receive a 30% discount
- Buy 80,000 – 95,000 points receive a 25% discount
- Buy 100,000+ points receive a 30% discount
Does it make sense to buy points?
When you buy points with a 30% discount your cost on each point is 2.63 cents (C$) each before taxes which puts the actual cost at 2.76 cents per point or higher depending on which province you live in. If you live outside of Canada you don’t have to worry about the taxes.
We value Aeroplan points at a minimum of 1.5 cents each (C$) but the program does provide the ability to get more than that. If you find the right award flights at the right time and are able to redeem at 3 cents per point or more, it does make sense to buy points with this promotion.
