The actual promotion is marketed as Stay Twice get a $50 gift card as the redemption rate of select $50 gift cards are cut in half from 16,000 points to 8,000 points. With award nights starting as low as 8,000 points you would get more value out of the points for an actual hotel stay over the $50 gift card. However there is no harm in redeeming for a gift card especially if Choice isn’t your primary choice of hotel programs.

Registered members will be awarded a minimum of 5,000 to a maximum of 8,000 bonus points after the second qualifying stay. The number of bonus points awarded depends on the number of base points earned from the two separate qualifying stays, with points varying by hotel. The total of base points plus bonus points awarded, however, will be at least 8,000 points, which is the number of points required to redeem for a $50 gift card from participating retailers. Members may take advantage of this offer a maximum of four times during the Offer period, although the member may continue to earn base points (and any Elite bonuses) on subsequent qualifying stays. A selection of gift cards is available at the discounted redemption rate of 8,000 points from 6/3/2024 through 08/05/2024. Members will have 60 days after the promotion ends to redeem their points for a $50 gift card at the reduced point level.
