Air France KLM Flying Blue elite status match expanded to the U.S. and Mexico

The Air France KLM Flying Blue Status Match offer that came out earlier this year for UK residents only (read more here) and then expanded to include Canada, Germany, Spain and other European countries (read more here) has been expanded further to include the U.S. and Mexico.

There is one difference however between the expanded offer for residents of the U.S. and Mexico versus all the other countries. Those members who have U.S. or Mexican residency can only match to Silver or Gold – there are no matches to Platinum, even if you hold equivalent status in another program.

The offer is run by Loyalty Status Co. who have spearheaded a new chapter in the status match world with pay for play matches. That’s the difference with these matches – they aren’t free but they also are not a ‘trial’ status match whereby you have fly a certain amount flights to retain the status. No, instead paid status match opportunity gives you full elite status for a complete 12 months from date your match is approved.

This offer allows elite members of 16 non-SkyTeam airline programs to receive Air France KLM Flying Blue Silver, Gold or Platinum Elite Status (No Platinum for U.S. or Mexico) for twelve months.
