Hilton is out with a mystery bonus for buying their points with some members receiving offers for a 100% bonus. Personally, my offer provides an 80% bonus. No matter which bonus you get with this iteration of the offer they are allowing members to buy up to two times the annual cap on points. If you have not bought any points yet this year it means you can buy 1600,000 points and receive up to 160,000 bonus points for 320,000 in total.
With a 100% bonus it means you are paying US$ 0.5 cents per point. With the ability to easily redeem at these points at values of 0.8 cents or more it can make sense to buy points for those sort of reward night stays.
