Wyndham Rewards was quite famous for their status match program up until 2020. When the pandemic hit the hotel loyalty program did the opposite of what most programs did at that time and actually pulled the status match program. Good news is that they have brought it back and the crazy thing about it is that you can get a trial Wyndham Rewards status even if you don’t have status in another program!

The Wyndham Rewards status match will provide an automatic trial elite status for 90 days when you are approved. You can then retain that status by completing a certain amount of stays with the chain within those 90 days. These are the requirements:
Gold Elite Status Match
If you are matched to Gold status you need to stay 1 qualifying night in 90 days to keep the Gold level.
Platinum Elite Status Match
If you are matched to Platinum status you need to stay 4 qualifying nights in 90 days to keep the Platinum level.
Diamond Elite Status Match
If you are matched to Diamond status you need to stay 10 qualifying nights in 90 days to keep the Diamond level.
Those are very achievable requirements and the beauty of this offer is that they are providing Gold Elite status to basic members of other hotel programs! Which you could then turn around and use for a status match with Best Western seeing that BW’s is a status match with no catch.
