Ethiopian ShebaMiles has entered the world of offering a bonus on buying miles. Until December 20, 2022 members of the ShebaMiles program will receive 20% bonus elite status miles when they buy miles. There is one catch to this offer and that is you can only buy ShebaMiles if you are a Blue Member or higher. To reach Blue you need to fly 2 qualifying segments or earn 3,000 status miles with the program.
Personally, I am just the most basic member of the program so it won’t let me access the buy miles page to see if this is a good deal or not but I would assume if you are short just a few status miles from re-qualifying with the ShebaMiles program it might make sense to buy some miles! Of course that’s just a guess, perhaps if we have readers who are Blue or higher members can let us know what the costs are for buying ShebaMiles and if it does make sense to buy them!
