Marriott Bonvoy members can earn up to 6,000 points on SIXT Car Rentals and then they can also earn up to 6,000 points for stays at Marriott hotels. The car rental offer does not require a hotel stay to earn the bonus points while the rate rules for the Marriott stays state you must show your Sixt reservation at check in to receive the bonus points. It is entirely possible you could get the hotel stay bonus points without a Sixt reservation but it will depend on the front desk person and whether they ask for proof of your rental or not. The bonus points rate prices the same as the best flexible rate so it is a good option to consider.
