United has come out with a new buy miles discount for just a few days. Right now you can buy them with up to a 50% discount until Friday. This appears to be their Black Friday offer (although it’s not called as such) so I wonder if there will be another offer for Cyber Monday. Hard to tell. Anyways at the 50% off level you are buying miles at 1.75 cents each which is a good price for MileagePlus miles and it opens up a lot of possible redemption opportunities.
