Preferred Hotels Group is updating the elite status offering in their I Prefer program. Currently the program has a two tier system but as of August 1st they are adding a middle tier between the base level Insider and the only elite tier aptly called Elite. The new tier is called Explorer and it will require 25,000 points to achieve while Elite will remain at 50,000 points. They also appear to be adding more benefits to the elite level tiers with the top Elite level now receiving a food & beverage offering and a digital anniversary gift.
Here are the current tiers and benefits in the program that will are in place until July 31:
And the new tiers and benefits that will be in place as of August 1
As the website only states Coming Soon: New Membership Tiers I would assume the rest of the program will remain the same. If it does stay the stay points earning will be 10 points per dollar for the base level and Explorer receiving 12 points (20% bonus) and Elite receiving 15 points (50% bonus). Redemption options should remain the same as well:
