Alaska Airlines has launched a new buy miles offer that only runs for a week this time until September 20. The reason behind this is that they promised an offer that will start on October 5 that will see an even bigger bonus for those who purchased miles during the promotion August. This time around the bonus once again ranges from 40% to 50% depending on how many miles you buy. Ideally you want to buy so you get that 50% bonus which means you’d have to buy 30,000 or more miles. We’ve seen a 50% bonus a few times from Alaska and even 60% as part of a targeted mystery bonus over the past few months.
With the 50% bonus you are buying Mileage Plan miles for 1.83 US cents each.
