We were wondering when American would launch their Transatlantic bonus seeing that British Airways has their offer out for a couple of weeks now. We can stop wondering now as American AAdvantage members can now earn up to 20,000 bonus AAdvantage miles for their transatlantic flights on AA, BA, Finnair or Iberia. They have taken a page out of Aeroplan’s playbook by not allowing tickets booked before the 19th of January to qualify for this bonus. Now we just have to wait for Iberia’s offer and Finnair still has their Transatlantic offer from the fall running until January 31.
