Welcome to our newest feature here on the FFB blog! The FFB News Round Up! Since our weekly newsletter is called the FFB Round Up, we figured it was only logical to call this the FFB News Round Up. What is FFB News Round Up? It is a quick summary of travel reward programs news and information from the programs themselves, other blogs and other sources coupled with the occasional commentary/editorial comments by us. Don’t worry we aren’t shifting our focus away from the bonus offers, that will never change and always be our primary focus. However we have a large following of readers from around the globe who are always on the go and perhaps don’t have the time to find this news all over the Internet hence a quick snippet of news for you! We hope you enjoy and welcome any comments, questions or suggestions on this new feature and as always it will probably evolve over time!

Delta SkyMiles has finally released their 2015 award
charts for Worldwide flights. Earlier in the year they released the
charts for North American departures so now they let us know what
redemptions with departures outside of North America look like. It is
not as bad as everyone thought it could have been but there are still
unanswered questions as to how many seats will exactly be available at
these lowest redemption chart levels. Remember, they are moving to five
tier system of mileage requirements! Many routes are going up in miles
required but not all is lost as some others are actually going down!
(Something we don’t see very often!) You must take into account that for
many of you it may become harder to earn SkyMiles next year when they
move to the revenue based system of awarding miles so while the charts
don’t look to bad if your not flying on expensive business class or
first class tickets this could be a serious devaluation for you since
you won’t be earning as many miles. How can you lessen the blow? Try to
take advantage of as many bonus SkyMiles offers as possible, of course
we list many of them on our SkyMiles bonus miles page. (Source: Pointswithacrew)

COPA Airlines is planning to launch their own FFP in
July 2015 which means United MileagePlus will not be the airlines
primary program. The airline however will remain a MileagePlus partner
which means MileagePlus members will still be able to earn and burn
miles on COPA flights however MileagePlus Elites will lose some benefits
such as access to preferred seating and complimentary upgrades on COPA
flights. (Source: Copa)
