Hilton has introduced a new bonus miles ‘package’ for stays at their newly opened hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Any time you see ‘package’ attached to bonus miles or points you need to be wary as it usually means you are paying for those extra points or miles with a higher room rate. When checking select hotels this does appear to be the case when comparing it to the AAA rate or non-refundable advance purchase rate but it does not appear to be any more than the best available rate that can be cancelled or refunded. This means you need to determine whether it is worthwhile to book this rate as you may save more money than what the points are worth if you can stay on a AAA rate or know your travel will happen 100% and book the advance purchase rate.
