Way back in January we were one of the first to bring details on the Miles & More offer of Double Miles on their new Newark-Vienna route that launches on July 2nd. Now United MileagePlus members can also earn Double Miles on the route just like Miles & More members can from July 2nd to September 30th. Had this promotion happened in 2015 this would be a good example of how you would want to book the flight from Austrian Airlines and credit it to MileagePlus as you would get miles based on distance flown rather than revenue spend if you had bought the ticket via United (assuming you purchase cheaper fares)
