14,000 AAdvantage miles in a single transaction from the buyAAmiles® or
giftAAmiles® program to be eligible for 1,800 bonus miles. Members must
purchase or gift between 15,000 and 29,000 AAdvantage miles in a single
transaction to be eligible for 4,500 bonus miles. Members must purchase
or gift between 30,000 and 44,000 AAdvantage miles in a single
transaction to be eligible to earn 9,000 bonus miles. Members must
purchase or gift between 45,000 and 59,000 AAdvantage miles in a single

Unless you plan on buying some real expensive flights with AA to utilize the 10% off offer you’re best bet is to choose the 20% additional bonus miles (an extra 12,000 miles). Of course if you have no immediate need for AAdvantage miles you are even more better off by buying US Airways Dividend Miles with an up to 100% bonus until December 20th since US Airways Dividend Miles will be redeemable for American Airlines flights in only a few months.
