To celebrate the launch of the new IHG Rewards Club in China the program is offering its members in Greater China (China, HK, Macau, Taiwan, Mongolia) the opportunity to earn up to 4 free nights that can be used at anyone of IHG’s hotels in the Greater China region.
Here is the offer as pulled from IHG
From September 1 to December 31, 2013, receive a free night at any of
IHG Greater China hotels by booking and staying sequentially at 2 IHG
brands worldwide. Be our guest for up to 4 free nights. In addition to
this unique benefit, you will continue to earn points while exploring
premium and diverse experiences across IHG brands.(*Upon registration,
members start to earn 1 free night after completing staying sequentially
in 2 IHG brands. Re-start the offer the next time you check in,
disregarding the brands stayed previously . Earn up to 4 free nights.)
Full details, online registration and booking can be found here.
Once received, the free nights are valid for stays between Oct 1, 13 and May 31, 2013. The way I read this offer as well is that members who register must stay at two separate brands sequentially to be awarded the free night. Which means you would have to complete a stay at an InterContinental Hotel followed by a stay at any other participating brand other than InterContinental. For example if you complete two stays in a row at an InterContinental Hotel followed by two stays at a Holiday Inn you would only get one free night as stays two and three would count as the sequential stay.
