Marriott acquired the Gaylord Hotel brand late in 2012 and this new offer is first systemwide “Gaylord Hotels’ bonus promotion that I have seen from Marriott Rewards. I did a quick check on rates at several location and the bonus offer does not seem to inflate the best flexible rate price like many individual hotel stay offers. The advance purchase, non-refundable rate is cheaper but the 5,000 points in most cases should be worth more than the difference plus you get the flexibility of being able to cancel or rebook. I also checked the AAA for the Kissimmee location and that was also a little cheaper ($137 vs $149) but once again the 5,000 Marriott Rewards points should be worth $25-$50 depending on how you value them.
