Now that WestJet’s frequent guest program is approaching its second birthday we are slowly seeing it evolve into the promotion aspect we see from most other FFPs. Late in 2011 they upped the bonus for their credit cards and now they have introduced a first flight bonus. The beauty of this promotion, is that the $50 earned after your first flight can be applied right away to your next flight as WestJet does not have ‘redemption levels’ rather the WestJet dollars earned are redeemed at face value as a discount towards WestJet purchases.
