Following in the footsteps of airlines like British Airways, Saudi Arabian Airlines’ Alfursan program is the latest to announce an increase in the mileage earned when flying international routes. Domestic routes remain unchanged. The new earning rates took effect on May 1st and are as follows:
Nice to see another airline start to give back to those who choose to be loyal to them. The change in mileage earned comes along with other changes to the Alfursan program (some good, some not so good) like the expiry date on miles dropping to 3 years from 5 years, a change in the redemption zones and more flexible reward flight options. Finally the increased mileage accumulation rates also count for elite status miles which means members will be reach elite status faster then before
