About 2 weeks, Delta launched some large bonus offers for flying out of Nashville, Pittsburgh, Raleigh-Durham or St. Louis. The offer allow members who register to earn up to 50,000 bonus SkyMiles and Double Medallion Qualification Miles. Broken down, the bonuses can be racked up as follows:
– 5,000 bonus miles plus double MQMs when you fly to Delta hub cities—Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Memphis, Minneapolis, New York/JFK and Salt Lake City
– 10,000 bonus miles plus double MQMs for flights to all other cities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean—over 350 to choose from
– 25,000 bonus miles plus double MQMs for international travel in Economy Class to over 70 countries
– 50,000 bonus miles plus double MQMs for international travel in BusinessElite
Their are no residency restrictions for the offer but the key is that flights must originate and terminate in each of the 4 individual cities. SkyMiles members must register and book by Nov 30 for travel until Dec 31.
Seeing these bonus offers, American Airlines has challenged the promotion with their own bonus mile offering which is a bit simpler. AA’s offer is also for flights originating and terminating in the four cities listed above but once registered AAdvantage members will simply earn Triple AAdvantage miles and Double Elite Qualifiying miles on all flights from Nashville, Pittsburgh, Raleigh-Durham or St. Louis. Dates for this offer are the same as Delta’s and does require regisitration.
