Following American Airlines lead, US Airways (and also see our post for Continental) has added a $50 checked bag fee for the second bag on Transatlantic flights effective Oct 7. The $50 fee is applicable if you choose to pay it online when you book, otherwise it will be $55 at the airport. Also the fees for US Domestic and Canada flights are all going up by $5 for the first and second checked bags.
