Here is a more obscure Status Match but hey, they all help right? We are all used to the big hotel chains and such but Sonesta Travel Pass is one that isn’t discussed much or at all so it is with our pleasure that we pass along this news to you.

Sonesta Hotels has over 30 hotels in the U.S.,  4 in the Caribbean, over 15 in South America and several Egyptian properties. The small chain also has their own FGP called Travel Pass. The program is points based and of course has elite tiers (otherwise this post wouldn’t be here). The Preferred level requires 6 nights in a year while the Elite level requires 12 nights. But if you hold status in another program, and we know many of our readers do, they will match that status!

Seems pretty simple! I am going to join and see what they match me to. Trying to decide however which status to use. SPG Gold, Hilton Gold, Club Carlson Gold, Accor Platinum, Fairmont Platinum or Best Western Diamond…. I think I’ll go with one of the last three since they are technically the highest level in those programs.

You can find out more about the status match and Sonesta Travel Pass program here.
