I found this move by Asiana quite interesting, in October of this year they launched their Happy Mom Service to passengers flying on long haul flight (10+ hours) with an infant 24 months or younger. The new service has 4 features designed exclusively to make Moms (or dads) happy:
1. Exclusive Check-In Counters for Infants: These have been set up at Asiana check in areas in Korea, Europe and the U.S. . This also includes priority tags on luggage to reduce wait times at the destination
2. Provide Breast Feeding Covers: Asiana will provide these covers free of charge at check in if asked for.
3. Free Sling Services: Due to the limited availability of bassinets on flights and the size of baby regulations for them, Asiana has decided they will provide free use of slings
4. Cabin Baby Seat installation and rental: Customers bringing their own car seats can have them installed in the plane by Asiana or can avoid lugging their own seat around by renting one from Asiana.
I am curious to see how this new venture works out and if other airlines will adopt similar practices.
