Qatar Airways Privilege Club members who are not members of Marriott Bonvoy will receive 250 free Avios for joining the program by December 31. To receive the bonus you must make sure you set your newly created Marriott Bonvoy account to automatically earn Avios.
You will not receive the bonus if you choose to earn Marriott Bonvoy points or any other airline miles/points. However, once the miles do post to your Qatar Airways Privilege Club account (which according to the terms is up to 60 days after enrolling) you will be free to change your earning preference in your Marriott Bonvoy account.
