We now know why the Hyatt and MGM partnership is ending – the latter is now teaming up with Marriott to create “MGM Collection With Marriott Bonvoy”
The current Hyatt-MGM partnership will be expiring on September 30 and right away in October a new exclusive long-term strategic licensing agreement between Marriott and MGM will launch.
The partnership will also include benefits between the two brand’s loyalty program although details are limited at this time:
Marriott Bonvoy members will enjoy benefits at MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy resorts and MGM Rewards members will receive certain benefits at Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio of more than 8,500 properties, while members of both programs will also be able to exchange MGM Rewards points for Marriott Bonvoy points and vice versa.
These are the seventeen MGM locations that will participating in this program:
Seventeen MGM Resorts destinations will join the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy. Four will also be affiliated with existing Marriott collection brands:
- Bellagio Resort & Casino – The Luxury Collection
- ARIA Resort & Casino – Autograph Collection
- Park MGM Las Vegas – Tribute Portfolio
- The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas – Autograph Collection
Eight MGM Resorts destinations in Las Vegas will join MGM Collection:
- Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas
- MGM Grand Hotel & Casino
- NoMad Las Vegas
- The Signature at MGM Grand
- Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino
- New York-New York Hotel & Casino
- Luxor Hotel & Casino
- Excalibur Hotel & Casino
Five MGM Resorts destinations in other U.S. locations will also join MGM Collection:
- Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa (Atlantic City, New Jersey)
- Beau Rivage Resort & Casino (Biloxi, Mississippi)
- MGM Grand Detroit (Detroit, Michigan)
- MGM National Harbor (Oxon Hill, Maryland)
- MGM Springfield (Springfield. Massachusetts)
