The 40% discount is valid for today and tomorrow (Dec 9) after which it becomes a 30% off until Christmas Eve. If you choose to buy at a 40% discount you are effectively buying the miles for 1.8 cents US$ each. That’s a pretty good price and seeing that Qatar Airways lowered the redemption cost on a lot of their award flights it may make sense to buy. To be able to buy Qmiles you must have earned at 1,000 miles at some point previously and there is a 250,000 mile maximum for buying miles annually.
