From May to August and then in the fall of last year we provided an abundant amount of coverage of Fairmont’s Stay Close promotion. This is where the hotel chain offered every 2nd night free (or 2nd room) at many of their hotels in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. The offer never went away but simply trickled down to only one hotel just before Christmas and then BAM! Once again it’s here in full force at a select number of their hotels in Canada, the U.S., Barbados and Bermuda!
The reemergence of the Stay Close offer is a sign of the times – now that the Christmas season has passed us by and COVID-19 cases don’t show any signs of slowing down we are seeing occupancy rates at hotels remain well below pre-COVID levels. The Stay Close offer was initially launched back in May 2020 to stimulate stays and now that we are in the low season again on top of this darn pandemic hotels are looking at any way they can generate some more revenue and a get a second night free promotion is a good way to do that. We know the offer does relatively well for Fairmont, or I can only assume so as we saw a decent amount bookings made for the offer via our Rewards Canada and Frequent Flyer Bonuses sites (we thank everyone who did book through us!) so why not bring it back for these slower times.
The offer is just like before – you book two nights at any participating Fairmont or Accor Hotel in Canada, the U.S., Barbados and Bermuda and the rate per night will be halved! You also have the option of converting a 2 night booking into a 1 night 2 room booking whereby you get that second room free. The booking must be made by March 15 for stays from now until June 30, 2021. Now if the past is any indication the March 15th deadline date may be extended for some of the hotels and/or we’ll see different hotels come on board for the offer with different booking dates. At the time of posting this the offer has 11 Fairmont Hotels in Canada, 11 Fairmont & Swissotel hotels in the U.S. and 1 Fairmont hotel in each Barbados and Bermuda.

As you can see the Stay Close offer is $254.50 per night (plus taxes/fees) which is exactly 50% off the daily rate of $509 per night. The next closest rate offer is this Bermuda Bliss offer which is still over $100 more per night.
Each hotel participating may have black out dates for the promotion, for example the Fairmont Banff Springs has February 12-14, April 2-4 blacked out. You can check those dates by clicking on the hotel of your choice on the Fairmont Stay Close promotion page. A fully refundable deposit is required when you do book (check the cancellation policy as it can vary from 24 hours to 7 days prior)
But the value doesn’t stop there! Fairmont’s loyalty program ALL (Accor Live Limitless) are offering Triple Points for all stays in North America (and Central America) until April 15 (you must book by January 15, 21 to get the triple points) You should register for this offer right away via this link so that you don’t forget to do so in the future, plus you have to be registered prior to booking to earn the bonus points. The ALL Accor Live Limitless program awards 25 points per 10EUR spent on hotel stays at Fairmont Hotels (more for elite members) but the bonus will only triple that base earn amount. If we take the above stay at $254.50 per night or $509 before taxes and fees you would be looking at earning around 3,127 or so points with the bonus. When you redeem points with the program they are redeemed at a flat rate of 2,000 points = 40EUR credit towards your bill so those 3,127 points earned equate to around $75

Book one night and receive a complimentary second night during the same stay. Offer is valid when booking a minimum of two nights as part of the same reservation. A 1-night prepaid fully-refundable deposit is required. This promotion is subject to availability and may not be combined with any other offers, promotions or packages. For stays through June 30, 2021 booked by March 15, 2021. Offer is subject to availability at time of reservation at participating properties in North and Central America. Blackout dates may apply.
You may also use your complimentary night as a second room on the same night. Should you wish to do so, please book a two night stay and then you must call the hotel directly to amend the reservation. The reservation will be amended to have two rooms in the same room category for the price of one for one night.
ALL Rewards points may not be redeemed to cover the cost of any charges associated with stays booked on the “Stay Close” offer either at time of booking or during the stay. This includes, but is not limited to charges for room rate/restaurant/in-room dining/spa/golf. Members who book through the “Stay Close” offer will receive the on-property benefits associated with their tier level at time of stay. Members will earn points at standard earn rates for room charges and all eligible spend that is charged to their room during the stay.
