Air Canada Aeroplan’s latest buy points promotion provides members with the opportunity to receive up to a 110% bonus when buying points by July 19, 2026. This is the highest bonus we have seen in quite sometime! Not the highest ever, but definitely better than that past few offers.

Personally I only received an offer of up to 90% bonus points but others are getting up to 110%
The up to 110% bonus offer:

The up to 110% bonus:
- Buy 5,000 – 25,000 points = 55% bonus
- Buy 30,000 – 75,000 points = 75% bonus
- Buy 90,000+ points = 110% bonus
The up to 90% bonus:
- Buy 3,000 – 20,000 points = 40% bonus
- Buy 25,000 – 45,000 points = 60% bonus
- Buy 50,000+ points = 90% bonus
Does it make sense to buy points?
When you buy points at the 110% bonus level your cost on each point is 1.79 cents (C$) each before taxes. For Canadians the actual cost works out to 1.88 cents per point to 2.06 cents per point depending on which province you live in as GST or HST must be paid on these purchases unless using a U.S. or other foreign credit card.
We value Aeroplan points at 1.5 cents each but the program does provide the ability to get more than that. If you find the right award flights at the right time and are able to redeem at 2 to 2.1 cents per point or more it can make sense to buy them. (2.1 cents is based on those paying 15% HST, if you pay less taxes you can drop that benchmark amount)
