Up to a 50% bonus when you buy Air Europa SUMA Miles (1000 Euro for Transatlantic biz class!)

Members of Air Europa’s SUMA program can buy miles with a bonus of up to 50% until December 21. The tiered bonus offers 30% to 50% more miles with a maximum purchase of 100,000 miles. That means with the bonus you can buy 150,000 miles for 1,500 EUR or 1 Euro Cent per mile. That’s a really good price!

Is there value in buying SUMA Miles?

On paper there definitely is value in buying the miles. I mean I’ve never utilized the program so perhaps some of our readers can give us a better indication on how easy or difficult it is to redeem SUMA Miles for Air Europa or SkyTeam partner flights. If it is relatively easy and they have availability then this definitely a very good buy miles opportunity.

With the program you can fly round trip in business class on Air Europa between Miami or New York and Spain or Portugal for 100,000 SUMA Miles. That’s 1000 EUR for round trip business class with full lie flat seats on their Boeing 787s.

You can also redeem 128,000 miles for round trip business class flights on KLM between Montreal and Amsterdam or on Air France between Montreal to Paris as those come in under the 3,500 mile level that are 64,000 miles one way in business class. 1280 EUR for round trip business class on Air France or KLM is also a pretty amazing deal although the current up to 120% bonus for buying AF KLM Flying Blue Miles will get you that flight a little cheaper if you redeem for the 50% off promo reward on KLM between YUL and AMS.
