On a few of the nights we checked, regardless to the price the bonus points offer seems to price out $12 more than the Member Flexible Rate. This is where you have to decide if the 5,000 points are worth that $12. In our books the 5,000 points have a minimum value of US$35 so in this case it would be worth it to pay the extra.
